SMTS’s predecessor was Shanghai Auto Parts Factory (SAPF), mainly produced and supplied copper radiators for trucks, buses, engineering machines, agricultural machinery, etc,

1994

SAPF was incorporated into Shanghai Hezhong Auto Parts Company, renamed as Shanghai Hezhong Auto Parts Co., Ltd. SAPF supplied domestic OEMs like SAIC-VW. Note: SGM was established in 1997.

Shanghai Hezhong Auto Parts Company was transformed into Shanghai Automobile Co., Ltd. Automotive Parts Factory.

Shanghai Behr Thermal Systems Co., Ltd. was a joint venture between Shanghai Automobile Co., Ltd. and Behr GmbH & Co. KG. SBTS has developed from being a simple radiator supplier into a developer and manufacturer of automotive thermal systems products. In the same year, SBTS supplied HVAC and Cooling modules.
